Wat moet je doen?

Heel eenvoudig.

1. Ga naar de coördinaten bovenaan deze pagina.
2. Zoek een plaatsje voor de webcam waar je zeker opvalt.
3. Breng desnoods iets opvallends mee zodat je zeker te herkennen bent.
4. Neem contact op met een vriend/collega schattenzoeker.
5. Laat die contactpersoon de webcamlink controleren of doe het zelf met een online smartphone of tablet.
6. Neem een schermafbeelding van jou voor de webcam.
7. Stuur deze naar de eigenaar van de schat via e-mail.
8. Na controle ontvang je een logcode en kan je jouw log mét afbeelding plaatsen.

Over de cache

De Grote Markt, officieel "Markt", is een marktplein in Brugge. De Markt bevindt zich in het hartje van de binnenstad en heeft een oppervlakte van ongeveer 1 ha. Aan de zuidkant van het plein staat een van de bekendste monumenten van de stad, het 12de-eeuwse belfort (Halletoren).

Het plein werd in 1995-'96 heraangelegd en sindsdien mogen er geen auto's meer parkeren. Iedere woensdagvoormiddag wordt er markt gehouden en het plein wordt ook regelmatig gebruikt voor evenementen, zoals jaarlijks de start van de Ronde van Vlaanderen. Rond de kerstperiode staat er een kerstmarkt met ijspiste. Rond het plein bevinden zich onder andere verschillende cafés, restaurants en winkels.

About the cache

The Markt ("Market Square") of Bruges is located in the heart of the city and covers an area of about 1 hectare. Some historical highlights around the square include the 12th-century belfry and the Provincial Court (originally the Waterhall, which in 1787 was demolished and replaced by a classicist building that from 1850 served as provincial court and after a fire in 1878 was rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style in 1887. In the center of the market stands the statue of Jan Breydel and Pieter de Coninck.

In 1995 the market was completely renovated. Parking in the square was removed and the area became mostly traffic-free, thus being more celebration friendly. The renovated market was reopened in 1996 with a concert by Helmut Lotti.
